Welcome to Rainbows
Rainbows Nursery and Preschool is located on the grounds of John O’Gaunts School. It is a 45-place setting, caring for children aged 0-5 years, Monday to Friday 07.30-18.00 all year round. The nursery is a single-story, purpose-built building, with its own large outdoor space.
Rainbows nursery is surrounded by the school playing fields, trees, and wildlife with limited passing traffic, creating a lovely relaxing outdoor environment for all the children to enjoy during their time in our wonderful setting.
Our priority is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow and flourish in a safe, secure and happy environment. We support our children’s learning and development through implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and our experienced staff team ensures that the children achieve these goals.
The Nursery has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (Sept 2018)
Rainbows have been under the new leadership and management since March 2022 and we look forward to developing the nursery further. We encourage an open and friendly extended-family atmosphere, good manners, and traditional values. We know our children and families well and they are at the centre of everything we do. We strongly believe in outdoor education and will be looking to develop our own forest school in the near future.
To us, the rainbow has a symbolic meaning. Perhaps, our dreams are real, and the only thing that is separating them is time.
